What are your office hours?
The office is open from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
What is the phone number for the dogcatcher?
The by-law enforcement officer/ dogcatcher’s phone number is 461-0549.
Do dogs in Teulon need a license?
Yes. All dogs within the Town of Teulon require a license. Dog licenses are due January 31. Cost is $12 for spayed or neutered and $24 for those that aren’t. Licenses are available at the Teulon Civic Centre located at #44 fourth Ave SE.
What are the hours of the dump?
From November 1 to April 30 the dump is open from 10am to 5pm, closed Tuesday and Wednesday.
From May 1 to October 31 the hours are 10am to 6pm, closed Tuesdays.
Is there a limit to the amount of garbage picked at curb side?
Yes there is a 2 bag limit. Anything over that requires a sticker which can be purchased at a $1 each. There is no limit to the amount of recyclables.
When is garbage pickup?
Residential garbage pickup is Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings.
What is the due date for property taxes?
Taxes are due the 31st of August. Penalties apply starting September 1 at 1 and 1/4% per month. Sewer bills are due at the end of August as well.
Where do I go to get a building permit?
Building permits are issued through the South Interlake Planning District, located in Stonewall. The phone number there is 467-5587.
Who is the building inspector and when is he in Teulon?
The building inspector is David Klausen and he is generally in the Teulon area on Tuesday mornings.
When will the snow be cleared off my street?
The Town of Teulon owns a truck plow and every effort will be made to clean the streets in Town as soon as the snowfall stops. The Department of Highways is responsible for clearing Main Street and Beach Road. The R.M. of Rockwood will come in to clean the streets when snowfall becomes too much for our plow and bobcat.
