Teulon & District Memory Garden
The development of the Memory Garden began in 2009 with a generous grant from the New Horizons program. The Town of Teulon donated a parcel of land located on the corner of 1st Avenue S.E. and 1St Street S.E.
Thanks to the generosity of the citizens of Teulon and Area there have been many donations to the garden to further its development such as picnic table, benches, a bird bath, chairs, perennials, trees and countless hours of volunteer labour. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. A project such as this would not succeed without the participation and dedication of our volunteers!
The Memory Garden is a wonderful way to keep alive the memories of loved ones who have departed and to enjoy the peaceful surroundings offered there.
Donations are accepted on an ongoing basis. With a minimum $25 donation you can have the name of a loved one engraved on a marble grey plaque.
A volunteer board oversees the development of the garden. President is Jan Lambourne, Vice President is Olga Persoage, and the Secretary/Treasurer is Marla Yankech. Directors include Joan Trombo and Diane Hnatchuk. Gloria Anderson is the past president.
All calls for information or donations can be made by mail to Box 885, by calling (204) 886-3910 or stopping by #75 Main Street.
