A Message from the Mayor of Teulon
On behalf of the Council and Staff of the Town of Teulon, I’d like to take this opportunity to welcome you to our official website! Known throughout Manitoba as the ‘Gateway to the Interlake,’ Teulon is a friendly, rural community located 30 minutes north of the City of Winnipeg on PTH #7. Nestled in the heart of some of Western Canada’s finest agriculture land, our community’s goal is to maintain a strong focus on a sustainable future while at the same time creating a modern and progressive town that everyone and anyone would be proud to call home.
The Town of Teulon boasts a great number of amenities to offer current and potential residents, investors, and visitors. In addition to our growing industrial, retail, and commercial sectors, we are proud to offer quiet, friendly, and above all, safe residential neighbourhoods for families to live and grow. A community that is proud of its recreational and sports accomplishments since its establishment in 1919, residents and visitors of Teulon enjoy world-class facilities for hockey, curling, golf, baseball & soccer; As well as an abundance of big game and bird hunting opportunities in the general Teulon area. With activities available for all ages, we are continually working to improve our recreational facilities.
The healthy lifestyle that comes with safe neighbourhoods and an abundance of recreational opportunities is only complimented by a health-care system that is the envy of most Manitoba communities at the Teulon-Hunter Memorial Hospital. It is said that it takes a community to raise a child. While this is very true, in Teulon, our children receive the best public primary and secondary education available at Teulon Elementary School and Teulon Collegiate Institute.
Our main role as Mayor and Councillors is to solicit the concerns and recommendations of the citizens of Teulon, as we work together for a sound future of growth and prosperity for the town. As you scroll through our website, I hope that you get a sense of this vision that is shared by my fellow councillors and the citizens of Teulon. I am honoured to have been elected Mayor of our fine town, and I strongly encourage you to continue to explore our website and to pay us a visit, for I’m sure you will agree that Teulon is indeed "A Great Place to Come Home To."
