Teulon Veselka Ukrainian Dance Club
The Teulon Veselka Ukrainian Dance Club was started in 1974 with the main objective being to provide the opportunity for any member of the public to learn and appreciate the Art of Ukrainian Dance, Culture and Heritage. Dancers of the Teulon Veselka Dance Club have competed nationally and have achieved medal-winning successes!
In 1989 the Veselka Ukrainian Dance Festival was started featuring amateur dance competitions, folk arts and crafts and as a means to promote Ukrainian Culture, music, dance and food. It has since grown to be a three-day festival at the end of May and competitors come from all over to dance. The Festival will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2008.
