Teulon & District Memory Garden
The development of the Memory Garden began in 2009 with a generous grant from the New Horizons program. The Town of Teulon donated a parcel of land located on the corner of 1st Avenue SE and 1st Street SE
Thanks to the generosity of the citizens of Teulon and Area there have been many donations to the garden to further its development such as a picnic table, benches, a bird bath, chairs, perennials, trees and countless hours of volunteer labour. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. A project such as this would not succeed without the participation and dedication of our volunteers!
The Memory Garden is a wonderful way to keep alive the memories of loved ones who have departed and to enjoy the peaceful surroundings offered there.
Donations are accepted on an ongoing basis. With a minimum $25 donation you can have the name of a loved one engraved with black print on a pewter plaque.
A volunteer board oversees the development of the garden. The 2021 Board President is Jan Lambourne, Vice President is Olga Persoage, Treasurer is Noreen Stone, Secretary is Jan Lambourne, and Director is Diane Hnatchuk. Gloria Anderson is the past president.
Lawn Care is provided by Ryan Hill and Brittny Hill. Volunteers include Bobbie Miller, Shari Slater, Dwayne Cheadle, Joseph Lambourne and Debra Dudge.
All calls for information or donations can be made by mail to Box 885, by calling (204) 886-7982 or stopping by #75 Main Street.
